Summer Fishing Tournament
Bring your catch to the Tournament Angler for Scales or Fish Event Tokens, then chase three leaderboards — Most Fish, Biggest Fish, and Tier Master — plus bonus Fish Event Tokens from spontaneous Fishing Frenzies. Top anglers take home the Gemstone Fishing Rod and exclusive event cosmetics.

How it worked
Turn in your catch
Bring fish to the Tournament Angler — a dedicated event NPC separate from the usual Fishmonger. Turn in some or all of your catch and choose your payout before confirming.
Pick your payout
Cash out as Scales (same value as the normal Fishmonger — this is currency-neutral) or as Fish Event Tokens, a closed event currency that only spends at the Cosmetic Shop. Every fish counts toward the leaderboards either way.
Fishing Frenzies
Opt in and watch for spontaneous flash tournaments centered on the Verdant Coast waystone. A white bossbar marks the zone and counts down — catches inside it during an active Frenzy score bonus Tokens and a shot at the Frenzies Won board.
Event cosmetics
Fish Event Tokens spend at the Cosmetic Shop — a Bucket Hat, cosmetic Fishing Rod, Fishing Backpack, and Fish Balloon, each in Bamboo, Cherry Blossom, and Slime variants. Purely for show, no catch bonus.
